Protecting Veterans Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow

The United States of America is at war with Islamic terrorism. We have troops on the ground in dangerous places with no near solution in site. Every day military servicemembers return home to California with a service-related disability. The California American Legion Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation (VA&R) Division, for eighty years, has provided critical services for hundreds of thousands of California Veterans. Without the American Legion’s expertise, tens of thousands of disabled California Veterans would go without the support they have earned and need. Your donation to the Department of California American Legion Foundation (CALVAR), empowers the VA&R with the ability to continue this vital service to our deserving California Veterans.

“The willingness with which our young people are likely to serve in any war, no matter how justified, shall be directly proportional to how they perceive how the Veterans of earlier wars were treated and appreciated by their nation.”

President George Washington

The Helmets For Heroes banks are a model of protective use of the Red Cross emblem by the armed forces, not a brand of the American Red Cross. The Red Cross logo marks military medics as being out of combat. The American Red Cross is not affiliated with or benefiting from this fundraiser.
